Adventus Announces Addition of Independent Director

Adventus Opportunity Fund (“Adventus”) by its Trustee, Adventus Opportunity Services Inc. (“AOSI”) announces the appointment of Randy Waites as an Independent Director of AOSI, effective April 1, 2018.

Based in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Waites is a Principal and Managing Director at Avison Young, and is responsible for the Asset Services Group across the company. Prior to joining Avison Young, he was a Senior Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in Chicago. Mr. Waites also served previously as the Chief Operating Officer for John Buck International Properties, LLC, in Abu Dhabi. As well, Mr. Waites was employed as the Executive Vice President of Prime Group Realty Trust, which at the time was a NYSE publicly traded REIT.

Mr. Waites serves on the advisory board for Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University, in Chicago, and is also a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) National Advisory Council, and serves on the BOMA Chicago Board of Directors.
